Brett Davis - US PRESSWIRE |
It's that wonderful time of week again to put in your waiver wire selections. There are a number of TE targets this week. Good luck and keep building your team.
5 Star Pickups
James Jones/Randall Cobb (WR, GB) - make sure they are not on your waiver wire. Both are must own. I shouldn’t have to put these two on the list, but they are here just in case.4 Star Pickups
Dwayne Allen (TE, IND) - solid while Fleener is out. He is a great TE in PPR leagues when Fleener is away, but once Fleener is back on the field Allen won’t be fantasy relevant.Joique Bell (RB, DET) - Bell is a solid grab at this point if you are in a PPR league; it makes sense to roster Bell and start him in more dire situations due to RB injury but again only in PPR leagues otherwise he doesn’t have enough upside.
T.Y. Hilton (WR, IND) - if Avery misses time due to injury then Hilton is going to be a sneaky starter in Indy. He is only four stars if Avery misses time.
Brandon Myers (TE, OAK) - this is the second time Myers has been on this list, but Myers weekly production makes him a nice starter if you have an under-performing TE. Myer is best used in a PPR league.
3 Star Pickups
James Starks (RB, GB) - Starks is now healthy again and Green has not been doing that great. Look to Starks to start getting more workload. He is a nice stash at this point.Logan Paulsen (TE, WAS) - since Fred Davis was lost for the season Paulsen has been able to put up some numbers. Myers and Allen are better to own but if you need a TE and Myers as well as Allen are gone then Paulsen is the next best TE.
Jericho Cotchery (WR, PIT) - it appears that Antonio Brown suffered a high ankle sprain which will leave the door open for Cotchery who is capable of putting up fantasy numbers as long as Brown remains sidelined.
Ryan Broyles (WR, DET) - He is worth a roster spot in deep PPR leagues, but other than that there are better options available.
Taiwan Jones/Marcel Reece/Mike Goodson (RB, OAK) - keep an eye on McFaddens status. If he doesn't go it looks like Goodson (who you also have to keep an eye on due to potential injury) Jones, and Reece will be in for production. Goodson will receive more carries if he is able to play. Reece is better in PPR leagues and Jones will likely see most of the rushing yards. This is a tough backfield for fantasy owners, but consider Reece the player with the most upside.
Isaac Redman (RB, PIT) - the backfield in Pitt is tough for fantasy owners and it is completely boom or bust. If Dwyer and Mendenhall are both out again last week then Redman can be started in place of an injured back or for bye week.
Golden Tate (WR, SEA) - quietly putting up usable numbers weekly but still a major gamble to rely on. If you are in a tight spot then you can start Tate.
2 Star Pickups
Michael Floyd (WR, ARZ) - keep an eye on him, but the QB situation in Arizona makes it too hard to start any WR’s not named Larry Fitzgerald.Lance Dunbar (RB, DAL) - keep an eye on Lance and only roster him in desperate situations.
